MapleStory: Big Bang – What is the ‘Big Bang’?

 

Ayte. So probably many of you are aware that KMS has launched the Big Bang for MapleStory. What is the ‘Big Bang’? Its a revamp of MapleStory as we know it.

The more formidable changes are thus (which i will be discussing today):

Part I of BB (Big Bang)

  • Changes in Skill descriptions for almost all Jobs
  • Changes in all systems (Damage, Critical, Accuracy, Avoid and Monster Defence Systems)
  • Monster stats change (Level, HP, exp, avoid, etc.)
  • New EXP Curve

Part II/III of BB

  • Introduction of the Resistance (Wild Hunter, Battle Mage and the Mechanic)

Other changes are: Victoria Island map overhaul, HP washing info, Monster Book & Monster Cards removal among other things.

Many of you would say, “OMG. NO! I’ve worked so hard on my character and they’re going to change everything?!” Don’t worry. I feel the same way. Let’s just look at the changes and determine whether or not these changes are major.

First off. Changes in Skills for each Job.

The Warrior

Swordman:
[New Skill] HP increase: Increases the Maximum HP permanently. [HP Recovery removed.]
– Max level 10: Increases the MaxHP with 20%.
Iron Body: Increased Physical Defence for a short period of time.
– Max level 20: -14MP, +300 W.Def for 200 seconds.
Power Strike: Consume MP to exert a strong blow to the enemy.
– Max level 20: -11MP, 260% Damage.
Slash Blast: Consume MP to attack up to 6 enemies. Requires level 1 Power Strike.
– Max level 20: -14MP, 180% damage to 6 enemies.

Fighter:
Weapon Mastery: Improves the mastery of Swords and Axes, as well as increasing the accuracy. [No longer divided into Sword and Axe]
– Max level 20: +50% mastery, +60 accuracy.
Final Attack: Gives a chance to apply an extra attack without taking extra time. Can only be triggered when equipped with an Axe or a Sword.
– Max level 20: 40% chance for a Final Attack of 150% damage.
[New Skill] Improved Fundamentals: Increases the damage for both Power Strike and Slash Blast.
– Max level 10: Power Strike Damage + 120%, Slash Blast damage + 70%.
Weapon Booster: Consume MP to increase the weapon attack speed with 2 steps. Can only be triggered when equipped with an Axe or a Sword. Requires level 5 Weapon Mastery.
– Max level 20: -11 MP, 210 seconds duration.
Rage: Consume MP to increase the physical attack for a period of time.
– Max level 20: -20 MP, +20 W.Atk for 155 seconds.
Power Guard: Absorb some of the damage received from the enemy and deal the damage taken back to the enemy. You cannot deal more then half the enemy’s HP. Requires level 3 Rage.
– Max level 20: -20 MP, -20 MP, for 100 seconds absorb 50% of the damage received.
[New Skill] Ground Smash: Shoot a strong shock wave forward, attacking up to three enemies.
– Max level 20: -15 MP, 300% damage.

Crusader:
Improving MP recovery: Improves the amount of recovered MP each 4 seconds.
– Max level 20: Recovers and extra 40 MP each 4 seconds.
[New Skill] Chance Attack: Deals more damage to enemies if they are stunned, freezed, or in a state of darkness.
– Max level 20: Deals 125% damage when the enemy is stunned, freezed, or in a state of darkness.
Combo Attack: Charge up Combo orbs by attacking. Every orb will increase your damage and let you unleash finishing attacks.
– Max level 20: -34 MP, 200 seconds duration, max combo count is 5, 5% increase in damage per orb.
Panic: Deals great damage to an enemy by using up the orbs, also puts the enemy in a state of darkness with a set chance. Also ignores part of the enemy’s defence. Requires level 1 Combo Attack.
– Max level 20: -20 MP, 480% damage to one enemy, 90% chance to put the enemy in a state of darkness for 9 seconds, ignores 60% of the enemy’s defence (Don’t know if it’s PDRate or PDDefence)
Coma: Deals great damage to up to 6 enemys by using up the orbs, also stuns the enemys for a set chance. Requires level 1 Combo Attack.
– Max level 20: -22 MP, 400% damage to 6 enemies, 90% chance to stun the enemy for 4 seconds.
[New Skill] Magic Crash: Eliminate the enemy’s buff for a set chance, cooldown 1 minute. Requires level 3 Shout. [Replaces Armor Crash]
– Max level 20: -15 MP, 100% chance to turn off all the buffs for 20 seconds.
Shout: Deals damage to the enemies, as well as stunning them.
– Max level 20: -18 MP, 220% damage to 10 enemies, 95% chance to stun for 8 seconds.
[New Skill] Brandish: Attack multiple enemies twice. [Initially a 3rd Job Skill]
– Max level 20: -21 MP, 240% damage each swing to 3 enemies.

Hero:
Advanced combo: Increases the damage for each orb, as well as increasing the combo count, as well as giving a chance to charge 2 orbs with 1 attack. Requires level 20 Combo Attack.
– Max level 30: Max combo count is 10, 10% increase in damage for each orb, 80% chance to charge up 2 orbs.
Achilles: Permanently strenghtens the body and reduces damage taken by the enemy.
– Max level 30: A decrease of 15% damage taken from the enemy.
[New Skill] Combat Mastery: Permanently neglect a part of the enemy’s defence (PDDamage).
– Max level 10: Ignore 40% of the enemy’s defence.
Maple Warrior: Increase stats by a certain percentage for everyone in the party.
– Max level 30: -70 MP, increase all the stats with 15% for everyone in the party for 900 seconds.
Monster Magnet: Pull up to 6 monsters close to you and stun them. [Its pretty useful now]
– Max level 30: -22 MP, pull 6 monsters with 200% damage and stun them for 5 seconds.
Stance: Don’t get knockbacked by the enemy for a certain period of time.
– Max level 30: -60 MP, 90% chance of not being knockbacked for 300 seconds.
Rush: Make a dash forward, pushing off up to 15 monsters.
– Max level 30: -47 MP, 250% damage to the enemy.
[New Skill] Brave Slash: Attack multiple enemies three times.
– Max level 30: -24 MP, 210% damage each swing to 3 enemies.
Enrage: Increase the attacking ability by using up the 10 orbs, only applied to one enemy, which will be the main target for the character. Requires level 30 Advanced Combo.
– Max level 30: -24 MP, 60% extra damage to the enemy enrage is focussed on.
Hero’s Will: Shrug off abnormal conditions.
– Max level 5: -30 MP, 360 seconds cooldown.

Page:
Weapon Mastery: Improves the mastery of Swords and Blunt Weapons, as well as increasing the accuracy.
– Max level 20: +50% mastery, +60 accuracy. [No longer Sword or Blunt Weapon]
Final Attack: Gives a chance to apply an extra attack without taking extra time. Can only be triggered when equipped with a Blunt Weapon or a Sword.
– Max level 20: 40% chance for a Final Attack of 150% damage.

White Knight:
Shield Mastery: Increase the physical and magical defence by fully using your shield.
– Max level 20: 200% increase of physical and magical defence.
Charged Blow: Deal damage to a number of enemies as well as stunning them. Can only be used if a charge is applied.
– Max level 30: -30 MP, 360% damage to 4 enemies, 90% to stun for 6 seconds.
Fire Charge: Give the element of fire to the weapon. The skill gets cancelled if Charged Blow is used. [No longer Sword or Blunt Weapon]
– Max level 20: -35 MP, 130% damage for 200 seconds by giving the weapon the fire element.
Ice Charge: Give the element of ice to the weapon. The skill gets cancelled if Charged Blow is used.
– Max level 20: -35 MP, 120% damage for 200 seconds by giving the weapon the ice element, also freezes for 2 seconds.
Lightning Charge: Give the element of lightning to the weapon. The skill gets cancelled if Charged Blow is used. Stacks with other charges.
– Max level 20: -35 MP, 125% damage for 200 seconds by giving the weapon the lightning element.
Magic Crash: Eliminate the enemy’s buff for a set chance, cooldown 1 minute. Requires level 3 Shout.
– Max level 20: -15 MP, 100% chance to turn off all the buffs for 20 seconds.
[New Skill] Restorative Nation: Restores a part of your Health Points instantly.
– Max level 10: -40 MP, recover 80% of your Health Points, 30 seconds cooldown.
[New Skill] Combat Orders: Increase the skill levels of everyone in your party for a period of time. Requires level 5 Restorative Nation.
– Max level 20: -36 MP, raise all the skill levels by 2 points for 180 secons.
Note: only a limited number of skills are affected by this

Paladin:
Achilles: Permanently strenghtens the body and reduces damage taken by the enemy.
– Max level 30: A decrease of 15% damage taken from the enemy.
Guardian: Become more resistant to the elements. Also block an enemy’s attack with a given success rate and stun them when using a shield.
– Max level 30: 30% resistance to the elements, block an attack with 40%, stun for 6 seconds when successfully blocked.
Advanced Charge: Increase the damage of Charged Blow along with increasing the number of enemies being hit. Requires level 30 Charged Blow.
– Max level 10: Charged Blow now deals 460% damage up to 6 targets, the mastery for just this attack increases with 20%, 100% chance to keep the charge.
[New Skill] Blessing of the Armor: The shield blocks the enemy’s attack up to 5 times, the shield remains up for 60 seconds.
– Max level 10: 20% chance of creating a personal shield, shield absorbs up to 5 times 30 damage while maintaining the physical damage, cooldown of 30 seconds.
Maple Warrior: Increase stats by a certain percentage for everyone in the party.
– Max level 30: -70 MP, increase all the stats with 15% for everyone in the party for 900 seconds.
Stance: Don’t get knockbacked by the enemy for a certain period of time.
– Max level 30: -60 MP, 90% chance of not being knockbacked for 300 seconds.
Divine Charge: Give the holy element to the weapon. The skill gets cancelled if Charged Blow is used.
– Max level 20: -35 MP, 135% damage for 300 seconds by giving the holy element to the weapon.
Rush: Make a dash forward, pushing off up to 15 monsters.
– Max level 30: -47 MP, 250% damage to the enemy.
Blast: Attacks one enemy with a powerfull blow, hitting the enemy three times. Also ignore part of the enemy’s defence, add a critical chance and a chance for instant death.
– Max level 30: -24 MP, attack the enemy three times with 280% damage, ignore enemy’s defence by 20%, add a 50% critical chance and a 10% instant death chance.
Heaven’s Hammer: Strike the ground with a huge hammer, attacking up to 15 enemies. If the enemy would die, 10,000 HP remains.
– Max level 30: -60 MP, 1400% damage, 40 seconds cooldown.
Hero’s Will: Shrug off abnormal conditions.
– Max level 5: -30 MP, 360 seconds cooldown.

Spearman:
Weapon Mastery: Improves the mastery of Spears and Polearms, as well as increasing the accuracy. [No longer divided into Spear or Pole Arm]
– Max level 20: +50% mastery, +60 accuracy.
Final Attack: Gives a chance to apply an extra attack without taking extra time. Can only be triggered when equipped with a Spear or a Polearm.
– Max level 20: 40% chance for a Final Attack of 150% damage.

Hyper Body: Increase the maximum HP and maximum MP of everyone in the party. Requires level 3 Iron Will.
– Max level 20: -60 MP, increase the maximum HP and MP with 60% for 300 seconds.
[New Skill] Ground Smash: Shoot a strong shock wave forward, attacking up to three enemies.
– Max level 20: -15 MP, 300% damage.

DragonKnight:
Elemental Resistance: Grow resistance to all of the properties, and thus reducing magic damage.
– Max level 20: 40% increase in resistance.
[New Skill] Judgement Dragon: Increase critical chance and minimum critical hit and add a drain effect while using Dragon Skills.
– Max level 10: +30% critical chance, +15% minimum critical hit, 5% probability of draining 5% of the damage dealt.
Dragon Crusher: Attacks three enemies three times by thrusting the weapon.
– Max level 20: -24 MP, 145% damage each hit.
Dragon Fury: Attacks up to 6 enemies with a large swing from the weapon.
– Max level 20: -33 MP, 360% damage.
Sacrifice: Use a part of the Health Points to make a powerfull attack. Ignores all of the monster’s defence (PDDefence).
– Max level 20: -18 MP, -11% HP, 690% damage.
Dragon Roar: Attacks 15 monsters and stunning them with a powerfull roar of a dragon.
– Max level 30: -20 MP, -15% HP, 580% damage, 10 seconds cooldown.
Magic Crash: Eliminate the enemy’s buff for a set chance, cooldown 1 minute. Requires level 3 Shout.
– Max level 20: -15 MP, 100% chance to turn off all the buffs for 20 seconds.
Dragon Blood: Increases Weapon Attack by using a part of the HP each 4 seconds.
– Max level 20: -24 MP, uses 40 HP each 4 seconds to increase the Weapon Attack by 25 for 200 seconds.

DarkKnight:
Achilles: Permanently strenghtens the body and reduces damage taken by the enemy.
– Max level 30: A decrease of 15% damage taken from the enemy.
Dark Force: If the HP is above a certain level, the Dark Knight’s inner soul awakes, giving extra damage, as well as adding 1 extra attack to Dragon Crusher. [Berserk]
– Max level 30: If HP is above 20%, +60% damage and an increase in the number of Dragon Crusher hits.
Aura of the Beholder: The Beholder will heal you with a set rate. Requires level 1 Beholder.
– Max level 20: 500 HP recovery every 4 seconds.
Hex of the Beholder: The Beholder will give buffs for a period of time. Requires level 1 Beholder.
– Max level 20: +35 W.Atk, +300 Physical Defence, +300 Magic Defence, +120 Accuracy, +120 Avoidability for 100 seconds.
[New Skill] Beholder’s Revenge: The beholder will attack the enemy back when you take damage.
– Max level 10: 100% chance to counter-attack, 700% damage, 5 seconds waiting inbetween attacks.
Maple Warrior: Increase stats by a certain percentage for everyone in the party.
– Max level 30: -70 MP, increase all the stats with 15% for everyone in the party for 900 seconds.
Monster Magnet: Pull up to 6 monsters close to you and stun them.
– Max level 30: -22 MP, pull 6 monsters with 200% damage and stun them for 5 seconds.

– Max level 30: -60 MP, 90% chance of not being knockbacked for 300 seconds.

Beholder: Summons the Beholder, which will increase the mastery.
– Max level 10: -60 MP, summon the Beholder for 20 minutes, raise mastery with 20%.
Hero’s Will: Shrug off abnormal conditions.
– Max level 5: -30 MP, 360 seconds cooldown.

Mages
Magicians:
All ultimates now have a cooldown of at least 30 seconds at max level
-they receive a mastery skill in 2nd job.
– They get a Magic Mastery skill in 4th job that increases their damage by 30 m.atk.
Big Bang now attacks 6 enemies 5 times each. Damage decreased to 290%. Picture HERE!. Big Bang is also elemental now. That is, Lightning for I/L, Fire for F/P and Holy for Bishops.
– All mages got some skill in 4th job that gives buffs +50% duration time.
– At max level, Infinity recovers 10% HP and MP every 4 seconds and all attacks increase by 10% for 40 seconds, cooldown 3 minutes
– At max level, Mana Reflections returns 1000% damage instead of 200% damage.
– All mages get Teleport Mastery, which increases Teleport Distance and has a 30% chance to deal 250% damage to 6 enemies and stun them for two seconds at max level, it’s changed to an active skill with a new animation.
Energy Bolt is now stronger than Magic Claw (280% vs. 120% x 2, but it looks like Magic Claw can hit 2 mobs now =D)
Magic Armor now gives 120 magic and weapon defense instead of 40 weapon defense.
Improving Max MP Increase and MP Recovery Removed removed. (The MP got on each levelup stays the same as before and after this revamp though)
[New Skill] MP Increase skill that permanently increases MP by 20% at max.

Cleric/Priest/Bishop
Heal gets a new animation (Effect and Affected) and is now a holy attack
Bless give 60 accuracy and avoidability and 120 magic and weapon defense, together with 15 ATK and M.ATK- Shining Ray‘s damage increased to 430% damage. Range increased to 170% (horizontally). An 80% chance for stun added.
Elemental Resistance went from 50% down to 40% at max level.
[New skill] Holy Attractions: increases increases magic attack and permanently increases critical rate to 50% at max level.
Summon Dragon‘s damage increased to 310% at all levels.- Genesis’ damage increased by 100%, has a 20% chance to crit (thus giving bishops while using gene a 5+50+20=75% chance to hit crits with it).
Bahamut‘s damage increased to 230% at all levels.
Angel Ray now attacks up to 4 enemies. Damage increased to 840%. The range is pitiful (120% Range).
Holy Shield gives 40% Immunity from Holy Attacks.
Resurrection max lvl decreased to 5, still with 30 minute cooldown.F/P Wizard/Mage/Arch Mage
Poison Breath’s DoT lasts for 10 seconds (from 6)
Slow now reduces 80 speed for 80 seconds instead of 40 speed for 40 seconds.
[New Skill] Elemental Reset added, 100% reset at max level (10)
Element Amplification is now 150% of the m.atk for 160% of the MP (instead of 140% of m.atk for 200% of MP)
Explosion changed to 475% dmg at max.
Poison Mist changed to 130% damage, but DoT greatly increased to 160 for   an extra 7 seconds.
– Poison rate for Element Composition went up to 110% (DoT) from 70%, damage changed to 500%.- Elquines’‘s Damage increased to 400%
– Partial Resistence went down to 60% from 70%
Fire Demon‘s DoT variables are now set. At max level, DoT set to 110, DoTinterval set to 1, and DoTTime is set to 15.
Paralyze range increased to AoE 200% (largely horizontal). Attacks up to 6 enemies. DoT set to 160, DoTinterval set to 1, and DoTTime set to 5. Damage changed to 620%.
Meteor Shower‘s damage increased to 1450%, but a DoT is added (220% damage per second).

I/L Wizard/Mage/Arch Mage
Slow now reduces 80 speed for 80 seconds instead of 40 speed for 40 seconds.
Thunderbolt hits 3 times now on 6 monsters.
Ice Strike damage increased to 500%.
Element Amplification is now 150% of the m.atk for 160% of the MP (instead of 140% of m.atk for 200% of MP)
Thunder Spear can stun for 5 seconds now (80% chance of stunning) and hits 5 times, damage increased to 140%.
Ice Demon‘s DoT (Damage over Time) variables are now set. At max level, DoT set to 100, DoTinterval set to 1, and DoTTime is set to 15.
Elemental Composition’s damage increased to 560%
Chain Lightning‘s damage increased to 740%. Mob count changed to 3 again. Has a chance to hit a critical with 15%.
Blizzard‘s damage increased to 1400%, does DoT (205% damage per second).
Partial Resistence went down to 60% from 70%
[New Skill] Elemental Reset added, 100% reset at max level (10)

Bowman

Bowman
Arrow blow hits 3 monsters  with 190% damage at max level.
[New Skill] Enhanced Basics adds 60% to double shot and 100% to arrow blow (2nd job skill).
No minimum range to attack (just like Gunslingers)
Eye of Amazon’s max level reduced to 5 from 8.
Focus gives 80 accuracy and avoid at max level instead of 20.
Power Knockback has a 100% KB rate at max level.
Soul Arrow’s max level reduced to 10 from 20.
Sharp Eyes gives +30% MAXIMUM Critical Damage.
Final Attack is 150% at 40%
Hunter/Ranger/Bowmaster
Arrow Bomb damage increase from 150% to 230% damage.
Power Knockback damage increased to 280%.
Thrust‘s max level decreased to 10, giving the same 30 Speed.
[New skill] Dodge
Puppet’s HP increase from 6000 to 8000
Inferno‘s damage increase from 160% to 450%
Arrow Rain hits 10 monsters with 400%
Strafe damage increase from 100% to 150%
Silver Hawk’s damage increased by 50% at all levels
Mortal Blow’s animation changed.
[New skill] Marksmenship: Passive skill that ignores the defence rate of the enemy, also gives +10% maxHP.
[New skill] Vengeance: Can KB the monster from close, stun it and hit the surrounding monsters with 500% at a 50% chance for each time a monster comes close (for 4 seconds).
Phoenix can STUN at a 95% rate for 1 second
Dragon Breath damage increase from 100% to 190%
Hurricane damage increase from 100% to 200%
Concentrate gives 35 attack at max level for 50% of the MP, cooldown of 5 minutes, smart-casted.
Bow Expert’s W.Atk bonus increased to 30, gives 10% mastery more then previous (total mastery with this skill is 90%)

Crossbowman/Sniper/Marksman
Iron arrow damage increase from 200% to 340%
Power Knockback damage increased to 280%.
Thrust‘s max level decreased to 10, giving the same 30 Speed.
Blizzard damage increase from 140% to 400%
Arrow Eruption hits 10 monsters with 400%
Strafe damage increase from 100% to 150%
Puppet‘s HP increase from 6000 to 8000
Golden Eagle’s damage increased by 50% at all levels.
[New skill] Ultimate Strafe: Replaces Strafe with this attack. Hits the monster with 6 arrows, each 200% damage.
[New skill] Marksmanship: ignores 10% W.DEF of monster, gives 10% maxHP.
Snipe cooldown increased to 10 seconds, hits 1mil at bosses.
Pierce’s damage increased to 1150% (!)
Dragon Breath damage increase from 100% to 190%
Marksman Boost’s W.Atk bonus increased to 30, mastery increased to 70% from 60%, gives 15% minCritDmg.

Thief

Rogue:
Nimble Body: Increases the Accuracy and Avoidability permanentaly.
– Max level 20: Adds 60 Accuracy and Avoidability.
Keen Eyes: Increases the range of throwing stars.
– Max level 5: Range of throwing stars increased to 200.
Disorder: Decrease the defence and physical attack of the enemy. The enemy will also stop attacking you.
– Max level 10: -10 MP, -10% defence, -20 attack for 60 seconds.
Dark Sight: Hide in the shadows so you won’t be seen by the enemy. However, you also can’t attack.
– Max level 10: -5 MP, hide in the shadow for 200 seconds, no speed reduction.
Double Stab: Swiftly stab an enemy twice with a dagger.
– Max level 20: -14 MP, 130% damage each stab.
Lucky Seven: Throw two stars to the enemy.
– Max level 20: -14 MP, 170% damage each star.

Assassin:
Claw Mastery: Improves the mastery of claws, as well as increasing the accuracy and the maximum stars per slot.
– Max level 20: +50% mastery, +60 accuracy, +200 stars per slot.
Critical Throw: Increases the chance and minimum damage of critical attacks. Requires level 3 Claw Mastery.
– Max level 30: +50% critical chance, +15% minimum critical damage.
[New Skill] Shadow Resistance: Permanently increases the HP, as well as the resistance to the elements.
– Max level 20: +10% maximum HP, +20% resistance to the elements.
Claw Booster: Consume MP to increase the weapon attack speed with 2 steps. Can only be triggered when equipped with a Claw. Requires level 5 Claw Mastery.
– Max level 20: -11 MP, increases the attack speed for 200 seconds.
Haste: Increase the speed and jumping ability of everyone in the party.
– Max level 20: -30 MP, +40 speed, +20 jump for 200 seconds.
•  Drain: Absorb some of the damage dealt to the enemy to restore your HP. Cannot restore more then half of your HP.
– Max level 20: -24 MP, 240% damage, 45% of damage is absorbed as HP.

Hermit:
Alchemist: Increases the effect and/or time of potions. Does not apply to %-based potions.
– Max level 20: 150% effect, 150% time of potions.
Meso Up: For a period of time, the amount of mesos dropped by enemys is increased. Affects party members as well.
– Max level 20: -60 MP, for 120 seconds, 150% meso droprate.
Shadow Partner: Summon a shadow that will attack with you for a period of time. Requires a Summon Rock.
– Max level 20: -80 MP, summon a shadow for 180 seconds that deals 50% of the damage you’re dealing.
Shadow Web: Cast a web over six enemies, which cannot move.
– – – Max level 20: -22 MP, 100% chance to catch the enemies for 8 seconds.
Shadow Meso: Replaces MP with mesos and have a chance to attack the enemy with more power. Ignores the enemies’ Def and M.def skills.
– Max level 20: Use at least 340, at max 800 mesos, gives a 30% chance to do 60% extra damage.
Avanger: Throw a giant star which will attack multiple monsters. Uses 3 stars.
– Max level 20: -30 MP, 350% damage dealt to 6 enemies.
Flash Jump: Performs a second jump in the air. The higher the skill level, the further you’ll jump.
– Max level 20: -12 MP, jump a certain distance.
[New Skill] Dark Flare: Summon a giant star which will heal you can your party members in it’s range and attempts to reflect the damage to all enemies. Not more then 50% of enemies’ maxHP can be reflected.
– Max level 20: -100 MP, summon Dark Flare for 60 seconds, reflects 1300% of damage dealt. 60 seconds cooldown.

NightLord:
Fake: With great reflexes, enables one to avoid the enemy’s attack. (Shadow Shifter)

Venom: Permanently puts potion to the star. Poison can only bring down an enemy’s HP to 1, not kill them.
– Max level 30: 40% chance of poison, 140% damage per second for eight seconds.

– Max level 10: +25% damage to Lucky Seven, Drain, Avenger and Shadow Meso, 20% chance to regain a star upon using one.
Maple Warrior: Increase stats by a certain percentage for everyone in the party.
– Max level 30: -70 MP, increase all the stats with 15% for everyone in the party for 900 seconds.
Showdown: Provokes an enemy, to increase it’s defence, Experience and droprate. Requires Fake level 10.
– Max level 30: Increases the enemies defence, EXP and droprate by 40%.
Ninja Ambush: A group of ninjas hiding in the bushes will ambush up to 6 monsters at once. HP cannot fall below 1.
– Max level 30: -44 MP, 200% damage, 14 seconds duration.
Spirit Claw: Spend 200 stars to not use stars for a period of time.
– Max level 30: -46 MP, applied for 180 seconds.
Triple Throw: Throw three stars to the enemy, which ignore part of the enemy’s defence (PDDefence).
– Max level 30: -21 MP, 250% damage per star, ignores 15% of the enemy’s defence.
Ninja Storm: Pushes off the surrounding enemies by summoning ninjas.
– Max level 30: -26 MP, 300% damage, 100% chance to knock the enemy back for 300 (points/pixels?).
Awakening: Shrug off abnormal conditions.
– Max level 5: -30 MP, 360 seconds cooldown.

Bandit
Dagger Mastery: Improves the mastery of daggers, as well as increasing the accuracy and the maximum stars per slot.
– Max level 20: +50% mastery, +60 accuracy.
[New Skill] Shadow Resistance: Permanently increases the HP, as well as the resistance to the elements.
– Max level 20: +10% maximum HP, +20% resistance to the elements.
Dagger Booster: Consume MP to increase the weapon attack speed with 2 steps. Can only be triggered when equipped with a dagger. Requires level 5 Dagger Mastery.
– Max level 20: -11 MP, increases the attack speed for 200 seconds.
Haste: Increase the speed and jumping ability of everyone in the party.
– Max level 20: -30 MP, +40 speed, +20 jump for 200 seconds.
Steal: Hit multiple enemies one time, with a chance to steal one of the enemy’s items, as well as stunning the enemies. Requires level 5 Haste.
– Max level 20: -24 MP, 40% chance of stealing an item, deal 300% damage to up to 4 enemies, stunning them for 4 seconds.
•  Savage Blow: Deal very fast consecutive attacks.
– Max level 30: -26 MP, 90% damage, 6 attacks.

ChiefBandit:
Shield Mastery: Increase the Physical and Magic defence if a shield is equipped.
– Max level 10: Increase physical and magic defence with 100%.
Chakra: Use MP to recover your HP.
– Max level 10: -140 MP, recovers 60% HP. If hit during the chakra, you will be hit with 300% damage.
Assaulter: Attacks a single enemy with incredible power and speed. The enemy may even be stunned.
– Max level 20: -24 MP, 290% damage with 3 hits, 80% chance to stun for 4 seconds.
Pickpocket: Mesos will fall off the enemy while attacking it. Requires level 3 Meso Explosion.
– Max level 10: -50 MP, 60% chance that mesos will fall off the enemy for 150 seconds.
Band of Thieves: Summon fellow robbers to hit multiple enemies.
– Max level 20: -30 MP, attack up to 5 enemies for 395% damage.
Meso Guard: Use mesos to guard 50% of the damage. Damage reduction and consumption rates vary by skill level. Requires level 3 Chakra.
– Max level 10: -37 MP, Meso cost is 61% of the mitigated damage, 180 seconds duration.
Meso Explosion: Explodes mesos on the ground to attack monsters.
– Max level 20: -30 MP, 180% damage per attack, up to 10 enemies, up to 15 bags explode.

Chains of Hell: Pull an enemy near you and attack it with a chain. A critical chance is added. Has to be used when you’re in Dark Sight.

Mirrored Target: Your Mirror Image will stop attacking and take damage for you instead. Enemies will attack this instead of you. Also has passive effects.
– Max level 30: -135 MP, 90 seconds to summon a target with 12000 HP. Passive Effect: 25% chance to dodge an attack, increase of 60% in physical and magic defence.
Thorns: Gives the party the power to find the enemy’s weaknesses and the avility to inflict lethal grants.
– Max level 30: -350 MP, increase of 20% critical chance and 30% minimum critical damage for 160 seconds.

The base mastery (for min. dmg) is 15% for ranged chars, 20% for close combat chars and 25% for mages. Normal mastery gives another 50% (all jobs).

It has been tested that on average damage was raised by53%. The least being Hero/Paladin (23%), the highest being Night Lords (134%)

Critical System
The new critical system is pretty much known now. I’ll point it up here:
• There are 3 factors calculating crits: CritRate , minCritDmg and maxCritDmg
• Everyone starts with 5% CritRate, 20% minCritDmg and 50% maxCritDmg
• Almost all critical skills add only to minCritDmg (and CritRate). I mean skills like Dragon Judgement (for DrKs) and Critical Throw.
• MinCritDmg cannot exceed maxCritDmg.
• The only skill that can increase maxCritDmg is Sharp Eyes.
• Crits are multiplicative.
Here’s an example:
50% Critical damage & Skill (200% dmg). > (200%*150%) = 300% damage when a crit is hit.
• This results in most of the cases that the crits have more effect then now.

Monster Defence System

Monsters got a new variable in the WZ files which says how much % damage is reduced from your attack.
This variable is called PDRate and comes in 4 forms:


10, so -10% on ALL your attacks. This applys for almost every normal monster.
20, so -20% on ALL your attacks. This applys for some normal monsters.
50, so -50% on ALL your attacks. This applys for some major bosses (Zakum and Horntail for example).
70, so -70% on ALL your attacks. This applys for one BIG boss: Pink Bean. This gives him a HP similar to SEVEN billion right now.

Accuracy System
Magical Accuracy is calculated as follows: 1.20*LUK + INT + Accuracy from Equips 

Physical Accuracy is calculated as follows:

1.20*DEX + LUK + Accuracy from Equips

Avoid System

Physical Avoid is calculated as follows:

DEX + 2*LUK + Avoid From Equips

Magical Avoid is calculated as follows:

INT + 2*LUK + Avoid From Equips.

Please note that Avoid from equips adds for both Physical and Magical Avoid rates.

Physical Defence is calculated as follows:

I say these changes are so that maplers are not concentrated to a few locations but to all locations that can cater to those of higher levels. Also, the increase in the level of Skele mobs are good. This is to reduce the number of “lechers” but its safe to assume that the leeching locations will merely change and not totally halted.

The EXP required to level up has reduced by 60%-80% from before the Big Bang patch for all Jobs.
I reckon this implemented because perhaps Nexon Korea is thinking of increasing the Level Cap of MapleStory. This is just in my opinion. But logical, no? Here’s an example of the exp change. Click HERE.

For Maplers of MapleSEA

Since Dual Blade is coming out in 22 days, i’ll let you know what change in Dual Blade you have to look out for if you’re going to spend a lot of time and money on that Job.
Basically 2nd job is nerfed while 3rd and 4th job are buffed. But our kin, the Shadowers will also have Flash Jump as well as Shadow Partner to aid them in mobility as well as increase in % damage of most of their skills. There isn’t much difference between Dual Bladers and Shadowers except that Dual Bladers have flashier skills and a slightly different key-operating system of play (much similar to Aran).
Damage on the other hand will rely mostly on equipments. Potential Scrolls were released in KMS before before the Big Bang patch. What Potential Scrolls does in a nutshell is increase the % stats of your character. Example: 3% Dex, 10% WA, etc. But that is another topic for another day.
I don’t know what i’m talking about here.

As for the Big Bang, I personally cant wait for it to come out. Anyway you have the information above.
